Economic Casualty – Week Three
Week Three started out the same way Week Two ended – a bit unproductive, but with a good visit to St. John’s. It was great to see my wife’s family, as well as our friends who were in town. My visits are always a lot of fun, and the food there is fantastic! We flew back early Tuesday morning, which meant we missed the storm that pretty much locked down the St. John’s airport on Wednesday, but since it meant we didn’t get a lot of sleep the night before, I spent Tuesday just getting my head back on straight.
Wednesday was mostly spent cleaning up after landing in, and going through the stuff that I had been neglecting while I was away. Thursday & Friday was when I got back in full job-hunt gear, sending out resumes and applications online. There are some really interesting opporuntities that I’m looking at, and I’ll be curious to see how they unfold.
On Saturday evening, I attended a presentation by The JustUs Project, which is run by a lovely couple that my wife knows. They went to Rwanda for three weeks to film the documentary aspect of the presentation, and the interactive aspect was fantasticly put together. I highly recommend checking it out!
